When you see our publication in your inbox or social media feed in the New Year it will have a new name. Next week, on December 16, we will publish our last issue of The Rub for 2019. We are taking a few weeks off and will return on January 13. When we do, we will be publishing under a new masthead, The Inside Investor.
Shed Connect, publisher of The Rub since it was launched in 2017, has become part of an exciting new venture, The Inside Network.
Founded by Jamie Nemtsas and Drew Meredith, principals of the independent financial advisory form Wattle Partners, The Inside Network is a financial services education and events business.
Nemtsas and Meredith worked on the development of the business with Sheridan Lee, founder of third-party funds market firm Shed Enterprises and the public relations and publishing business Shed Connect.
Nemtsas says: “The IN believes that in this high-pressure investment environment, the need to share intellectual capital and collaborate is critical, and the extensive education/event program planned for 2020 will facilitate this across the three most important pools of capital in Australia and the world – IFAs, institutions and investors (SMSFs and high net worth individuals).”
When we launched The Rub, we promised readers a practical “news you can use” approach to coverage of superannuation, investment markets, consumer finance, financial and estate planning, retirement planning and tax issues.
Since then we have surveyed our readers to learn more about what they find useful and interesting, and we have reviewed our editorial planning accordingly.
We will continue to provide the same coverage under our new masthead. In addition, we will support and complement The Inside Network’s innovative member learning and collaboration activities.
Our sister publication, New Investor, is also taking a break over the holiday season and when it returns on January 15 it was be published under the masthead The Inside Adviser. We have some great plans for 2020 and we hope you continue to enjoy our coverage.
